In partnership with CSV Containment, MGC Life Science offers the local market LAF (laminar air flow) conveyors for transporting sterile products in cleanrooms.
According to current regulations, during the aseptic process, until the primary packaging is completely sealed, it must be under continuous laminar flow. Many companies use mobile racks to transport sterile products in the final stages, whether between filling and lyophilization, filling and crimping, or lyophilization and crimping, which disregards current regulations and jeopardizes product quality. This occurs due to the dynamics of vertical laminar flow, which cannot penetrate and sweep through products packaged in racks.
For such applications, the use of LAF conveyors, autonomous mobile horizontal laminar flow units (battery powered), is the answer for transferring products between stages of the aseptic process, ensuring the sweeping of the entire product by a horizontal laminar airflow.
Operating principle:
Air from a HEPA filter, located on the lower wall of the conveyor, horizontally passes through the area where the product is located (e.g., in trays), completely “washing” the area and forming a “Grade A” zone.
Air is drawn from the environment through side pre-filters, filtered by a HEPA filter, then flows horizontally in the tray area and then recirculated through a dedicated plenum opposite the filter. Recirculation prevents turbulence in zone B.
